I’ve wanted to refresh my wardrobe for a while. Since having the twins, it’s been hard to find time to hit the mall alone to try things on. I started thinking about trying a styling subscription service. Last month, I signed up for Trunk Club and I’ve been working with a stylist to add new pieces to my closet. I wanted to write a Mom Style Trunk Club Review for you guys on my experience with Trunk Club for Women.

How Trunk Club Works

The setup process for Trunk Club was really simple. You go to their website and create a style profile. You give details like your sizes, favorite colors, styles you like and budget you’d like to stick to.

Once you’ve created your style profile, your assigned stylist will reach out to you in their messenger app. I loved this detail because I was talking to my stylist in real-time. My stylist Naomi asked me a few questions based on my profile to get some clarity about what I was looking for in my first trunk. I gave her details about what sizing works best for me, which prints I wanted to avoid, and specific pieces I wanted to try.

After that, she sent me a message when my trunk was ready for review. The review included photos and prices for the items my stylist selected for me. Then I was given 48 hours to give feedback on those items. In that time, you can let your stylist know if there are pieces you’d like to reject. They will then select new pieces to add before your trunk ships.

Once you receive your trunk, you have 5 days to try everything on and decide which pieces you’d like to keep. When your trunk ships, you pay a $25 styling fee that is credited toward anything you buy from your trunk. Then you return the items you don’t want using their UPS return label.

When I started messaging with my stylist Naomi, I let her know my background, that I’m a twin mom looking for new wardrobe pieces for the office and for weekend wear around the kids. I was also able to share my Pinterest style board with her so she could get a feel for my style.

I told her I didn’t like animal print or beige clothes. And I told her I loved polka dots and bright colors. I also stressed that it was important for my clothes to fit my mom style. I wanted a mom style trunk club. And she delivered!

I was very pleased with the pieces my stylist pulled for me. After picking the pieces for my trunk, my stylist sent a preview and I rejected a few items and she added new ones. She also sent some outfit pairing suggestions using the items from the trunk.

In my experience with Trunk Club, I really enjoyed the personal touch of the stylist. I felt like that was a unique experience for me. I’ve never worked with a stylist before so I liked getting opinions and feedback in real-time like that.

My Experience with Trunk Club

For me, I felt like my experience with Trunk Club was very positive. The hardest part was deciding which clothes to keep and which to send back because I wanted to keep almost all of them!

Trunk Club is a Nordstrom Company so the pieces pulled all come from Nordstrom. I am a huge Nordstrom fan, so I loved this aspect of the company. I also knew that Nordstrom has a variety of items to choose from, which was cool.

The best part about my Trunk Club experience so far has been being able to have expert stylist advice and being able to try new styles that I wouldn’t normally choose for myself. This experience is helping me branch out with my style a bit and I’m enjoying that. I’ve already received my second trunk from Trunk Club and I plan to continue with my mom style Trunk Club experience!

(The dress that I’m wearing in the photos of this post came from my very first Trunk Club trunk!)
