If it’s pink, it’s for me.

It’s no secret that pink is my absolute favorite color; and pink and black make a great color combination. I could wear pink every day for every occasion possible. Hot pink, blush, baby pink, millennial pink, I love them all! So when it comes to styling everyday outfits, my favorites usually involve pink in some way. In the case of today’s casual style outfit, pink was involved in almost every detail, except my pants. (Note to self: search for cute pink jeans.)

In addition to my undying love for the color pink, I also have a slight, but completely healthy, obsession with anything that has glitter on it. These kate spade shoes are the best because they are nothing but pink glitter.

So sparkly and cute! I actually have them in this pink color and in silver. Once when I was going to Las Vegas, I was wearing these shoes. I met a little girl in the airport who told me that I had “sparkly princess shoes.” I couldn’t agree more! When I wear them, I feel like a sparkly princess. I’ve never been much of a heels girl. I think because I’m already so tall I just never liked wearing super high shoes. But with these, I can have the comfort of sneakers mixed with fancy sparkles.

Since it’s usually just me and the kids on the weekends at home, I like to dress in clothes that are comfortable, casual, and easy to move in. But, I still always want to look cute when I’m trying to pull off a casual style. Even if I’m wearing workout clothes or pajamas or jeans and a t-shirt, I have to look adorable. It’s just who I am. This outfit is the perfect mix of casual, comfortable and cute.

These distressed jean leggings from Express are the most comfortable jeans I own and they complement any casual style outfit. I own several pairs of Express jean leggings and they are just the best. Really comfortable and stylish, plus they fit my body really well. I usually opt for “tall” in my pants since I’m almost 5’10” and the ones at Express are great length-wise. And since it’s mid-January, I wore some solid black leggings underneath so I didn’t freeze.

I’m having fun exploring new casual style outfits in addition to my work outfits! I think the biggest lesson I’m learning is that “mom style” doesn’t have to mean “boring clothes”!
