2018 Sephora Beauty Insider Appreciation Event Recommendations

Guys, Sephora has blessed us with another sale this year! This special Sephora Beauty Insider Appreciation Event starts August 24 for Rouge members, and August 30 for everyone else. The sale goes through September 3. For the event, Sephora is offering 10% off for Beauty Insiders, 15% off for VIB members and 20% off for Rouge members! I love the Beauty Insider sales, especially when they offer 20% off for Rouge members. Since I love makeup and skin care so much, it’s easy to overspend and try to buy everything. So having 20% off makes that a little easier on my wallet.

Drunk Elephant Rise + Glow Duo

These are my go-to morning skin care products! I am obsessed with Drunk Elephant products, they keep my skin clear and looking bright and fresh. I like to combine the C-Firma Day Serum with the B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Gel after washing my face and before putting on my makeup each day.

Drunk Elephant NightBright Duo

I use these two products every night after I wash all my makeup off. I love how theT.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Night Serum makes my skin brighter and just glowing. And the Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil feels so nice and not greasy.

Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer

My ultimate primer! I’ve tried other foundation primers, but I always come back to the Smashbox Photo Finish primer because it’s the best. I’ve used this primer since high school when I started using makeup. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!

MoroccanOil Dry Texture Spray

This is a new product I’m trying. I wanted to find a nice texture spray that isn’t harsh on my hair. This spray is made by MoroccanOil, which I love love love. So I’m excited to see how I can use this on my hairstyles.

Too Faced Peach Perfect Mattifying Setting Powder

The Too Faced Peach Perfect Mattifying Setting Powder is another new product for me. I’ve heard so many wonderful things about this setting powder. I’m excited to give it a try to see how it works for my face and keeps my makeup matte.

Too Faced Born This Way Foundation in shade Chai

Another new one for me. This foundation shade was created in collaboration with my favorite beauty YouTuber Jackie Aina so I can’t wait to give this a try. I’m pretty sure I’m going to love it based on what I’ve seen and heard about it.

Too Faced Born This Way Super Coverage Multi-Use Sculpting Concealer in shade Toffee

I was also in the market for a new concealer and I wanted to give this one a try because it pairs well with the Born This Way Foundation. It looks so gorgeous and I love that it comes with a good amount of product.

Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick in shade Golden Almond

This is a repurchase for me. I’ve been using this foundation for a few months now and I absolutely love it! It feels lightweight on the skin, keeps me looking flawless. I also like that the shade matches my skin really well, I don’t have to use too much product.

Benefit Cosmetics Goof Proof Brow Pencil in shade 5 – warm black-brown

I’ve also been using this brow pencil for more than year now. It’s simply the best! What I love most about this product is that it’s super easy to use. I’m no pro at filling in eyebrows so I need a product that’s going to make it easy on me.

Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Match Stix Matte Skinstick in shade Suede

I love love love the Fenty Beauty Match Stix! In particular, I love the shade Suede because it matches my skin color so well and blends really nicely. I like to use this as a concealer for under my eyes some days.

Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Flyliner Longwear Liquid Eyeliner in shade Cuz I’m Black

This eyeliner. Girls, you need this eyeliner in your lives. I used to like the Kat Von D liquid black eyeliner, but this one has replaced it. The eyeliner is easy to use and it’s really really black. I use this eyeliner every day and it’s awesome.

Urban Decay All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray

When you want to keep your makeup in place all day or all night, this setting spray is amazing! I use this almost every day and it keeps my face looking fresh and perfect all day.

Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Killawatt Foil Freestyle Highlighter Duo in 7daywknd/Poolside

I’ve been dying to try this new Killawatt Highlighter from Fenty Beauty! The colors are gorgeous. I don’t think I’ll be using these colors on my cheekbones, but I will use them as eyeshadows. And who knows, maybe I’ll branch out and swipe a little on my cheeks!

Hourglass Vanish Foundation Brush

Since I’ve been using the Hourglass Vanish Foundation, I’ve wanted to try the brush that was designed to go with it. I think it’s always good to try the tools that were designed for certain products because sometimes you can get a better result that way.

Pat McGrath Labs Mothership Eyeshadow Palette – Subliminal

I am in love with Pat McGrath’s eyeshadow formula. The shadows are always so creamy and smooth and blendable. This is a more expensive product that I’ve held off on getting until a sale!

Y’all, I use beautyblenders every single day, every time I do my makeup. Even if I use a brush for my foundation, I like to use a beautyblender to blend my under-eye concealer or my setting powder. I always use the Sephora sales to stock up on some beautyblenders.
